According to the legislation passed by the Knesset, the employer of a salaried worker taken hostage, needs to continue deduct retirement and compensation payments to the worker's provident fund, to avoid any prejudice to his social rights.
The National Insurance will pay the employer a refund for these payments, for the period from 7.10.23 until the return of the hostage or, God forbid, until being identified as a casualty.
How to receive a refund?
One must complete a refund request + a money transfer request, and send them along with required documents by email at gemel-hatufim@nioi.gov.il
Documents to attach to above requests:
- Authorization of payment transfer to the worker's provident fund, alternatively a list of deposits from the fund.
- Bank account certificate.
